CastStream Hub works with most Smart TVs that support DLNA, plus Chromecast and Roku devices on the same Wi-Fi network.

No. Your iPhone or iPad and the TV or casting device just need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

Yes. After you select a device once, the app remembers it and will try to reconnect automatically the next time you open the app if it’s available on the same network.

Open the Devices screen from the top bar and choose a different TV or casting device. The new selection becomes the default for future sessions.

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi, open Screen Mirror, choose your device, then tap Start Mirroring.

Many services block mirroring due to DRM. This is expected behavior and not an app issue.

Open Cast Photos, pick any photo to open the preview, then scroll the filmstrip to move through your library. Choose the device to start casting.

Yes. Use the quality selector on the preview screen (Basic, Normal, Enhanced). Higher quality uses more bandwidth and may take longer to start.

Open Cast Videos, select a video, pick your device, and it will play on the TV. Very large or HDR files may take a moment to begin.

Open Cast Music, choose a track from your device library, and select your TV or casting device. DRM-protected tracks may not play.

IPTV lets you play live TV streams via your own links. You can import a .m3u playlist URL with many channels or add a single .m3u8 channel link.

Open IPTV, tap Import, paste the .m3u URL, and confirm. Channels will appear in the list.

Open IPTV, tap Import, paste the .m3u8 URL, give it a name if prompted, and confirm.

CastStream Hub does not provide content. Use your own legal sources and ensure you have rights to access and cast the streams.

"OK" means the last quick check succeeded. Unavailable now means the stream didn’t load at that moment, which could be due to the channel being offline, geo-blocked, or rate-limited

Verify the URL, try again later, ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, disable VPNs/firewalls, and check for DRM or geo-restrictions.

Yes. Tap the heart icon on a channel to add or remove it from Favorites. Use the Favorites filter to view them.

Yes. Keep CastStream Hub in the foreground and avoid locking the device. Locking the screen or switching apps can interrupt playback.

Use the Reduce screen brightness option, keep the device plugged in for long sessions, and prefer a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection.

Quality for mirroring can be changed when mirroring is stopped. Stop mirroring, change quality, then start again.

Sound in mirroring is a premium feature. Upgrade to enable audio capture during screen mirroring.

Open the mirroring settings, toggle Auto-Rotate, and ensure Orientation Lock is off in Control Center.

Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, allow Local Network access in iOS Settings, disable VPNs, and power-cycle the TV and router.

Yes. If your TV or casting device is on Ethernet and your iPhone or iPad is on the same router network, discovery and casting should work.

Captive portals and managed networks often block device discovery. Use a private router or personal hotspot that allows local discovery.

Yes. Open Media Servers, wait a moment for discovery, select your server (Plex, Kodi, or a NAS DLNA server), browse Videos, Photos, or Music, then pick an item and cast to your device.

Ensure the server and your iPhone or iPad are on the same subnet, allow Local Network access, disable VPNs, enable DLNA/UPnP in Plex or Kodi, and power-cycle the server and TV.

Some routers must allow UPnP and multicast (IGMP/mDNS) for DLNA discovery. Enable UPnP and multicast, ensure client isolation is off, then restart the router and devices.

In Plex Web on your server, open Settings, go to Server, open DLNA, and enable the DLNA server. Then return to CastStream Hub and refresh Media Servers.

In Kodi, go to Settings, Services, UPnP/DLNA, enable Share my libraries and Allow remote control via UPnP. Then try discovery again in CastStream Hub.

No. The app does not handle authentication. It discovers DLNA/UPnP servers that are already visible on your local network.

Playback depends on the TV’s codecs and the server’s ability to transcode. If the server cannot transcode, the TV must support the file’s format and audio. Try a different file, enable transcoding on the server, or convert the video.

It depends on the TV and the stream. Some TVs show subtitle and audio track controls in their native UI. External SRT files may not display on all TVs; embedded subtitles are more reliable.

Open IPTV, swipe left on the item, and delete. You can re-add it later with the same URL.

The app doesn’t impose limits, but some streams may rate-limit or block repeated access. Wait and try again if a channel stops.

We may collect device and usage data to operate and improve the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. If you initiated IPTV and purchased the upgrade, the app proceeds to the IPTV screen. Otherwise, open IPTV from the home screen.

Email "support@caststreamhub.com" with your device model, iOS version, TV brand, and a short description. For IPTV issues, include whether the URL is .m3u or .m3u8; for media servers, include the server type (Plex, Kodi, NAS).
